Public middle school teacher drunk in class, arrested

TEXAS - A substitute middle school teacher drunk in class was too intoxicated to even complete a sobriety test and was arrested, authorities said.

A Dallas police report states that he “had slurred speech, breath smelling of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot eyes.”

11-Year-Old Public School Student Found With Marijuana Traded iPod for Gun

Police arrested an 11-year-old boy Friday after Woodlands Elementary School officials allegedly found marijuana and a gun in his back pack, MyFOX Orlando reported.

Jarrett Snipes, a fifth-grader who now has a mugshot, reportedly used an iPod that he had borrowed as a down payment for the gun, which he bought from another child.

School officials said they found the gun, which was not loaded, along with three small bags of marijuana and a window punch, a pen-sized tool used to easily break windows, inside Snipes' bag.

Snipes faces charges of possessing a concealed weapon, along with drug charges, MyFOX Orlando reported.

Gun-toting 17-year-old pot-smoker arrested at public school

On Thursday evening, a 17-year-old student taking night classes at Lowell High School was discovered to have a loaded gun.

Security guards found the gun on the student after searching him because teachers noticed a marijuana smell in the area. Police officers arrested the student.

Meth-laced Ecstasy handy, plentiful in public school

Ecstasy is back after years of decline with a major pipeline through Canada, law enforcement officials say. Most alarming, they says, is more than half of all ecstasy seized in the U.S. last year was laced with meth. "It's easy to get," one New York teen told CNN.
